Windows 7 Impressions

Windows 7

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium and I absolutely love it.

I purchased the $30 Student copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and I was able to download it and install it on release day. I was very impressed by the capability for me to download and install a new OPERATING SYSTEM, not just an application, but Windows itself. Very cool, and I hope to see Microsoft continue offering premium downloads.

I also have my retail boxed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on the way.

I highly recommend that if you haven’t upgraded from XP, you upgrade to Windows 7 now. Also, the prices on new laptop and desktop computers have fallen, and if you’re not interested in doing the (simple) Windows 7 Install process, this season would be a good time to purchase a new computer with Windows 7.

Apple Responds to Microsoft’s Laptop Hunter Ads

Gizmodo – Apple Responds to Microsoft’s Laptop Hunter Ads – Micosoft laptop hunters.

Apple’s Response:

“A PC is no bargain when it doesn’t do what you want,” Apple spokesman Bill Evans says. “The one thing that both Apple and Microsoft can agree on is that everyone thinks the Mac is cool. With its great designs and advanced software, nothing matches it at any price.”

Well how about that? Of course a Mac is “cool” but is it anywhere near as compatible as the Giant Elephant that is Windows?

The short answer is No. Then again, Windows has its own series of incompatibilities, lest we forget Vista’s “bumps” on release.
